disinterested - Russia paid in gold for each ammunition...

when the Allies asked him to start the Soviet Winter Offensive
early to take the pressure off the Ardennse Battle of the Bulge.
So not everything was paid for in gold, much of it in blood.

I don't think criticizing Soviet medals (lets call them Soviet, as it was not just russians who fought in the war - many other nationalities were there too, so I think its unfair to cut them out) is "anti-russian". I think the Soviet medals and uniforms were not the best attractive to put it mildly. If I had to pick allied uniforms that look sharp - I would probably pic Poland or US.
