I do agree that that Soviet "bling" medal is a bit much and over the top, and also of questionable taste. The designer missed the mark if he was going for Fabrege, ......or maybe he hit it right on,......but what military guy would want a Fabrege egg hanging on his breast??? But that is JMHO

There are also mega size Soviet Order of Victory versions too. One is inside
the dome of the Berlin Soviet Soldier Monument, another is used in Moscow
during their Victory Parade as background decore, both are cool IMO.

You could indeed be right, but then again the lesser quality OV might
also be the later Marshal L.I. Brezhnev example, revolked by the
Supreme Soviet before Brezhnev was barely cold in his grave. His OV
had been given to him at his suggestion, on the 60th anniversary of
the Soviet Armed Forces in 1978, and was seized from his family shorty
after his death as it was out of line with the WW2 award statute since he
was only a political officer during WW2. He was never awarded the OV
during WW2, and his OV is thought to be a pinback, not a screwback, as
found on most genuine WW2 Order of Victories.

just talking about the highest military decoration in the Soviet Union, and one of the rarest (and most expensive) orders in the world that was awarded only to Generals and Marshals, including American general Dwight Eisenhower that was 34th President of the United States.

Hello guys,just want to express my point of view here,Bnz that example for sure looks gorgeous !!!! and extremely appealing !!!!!

Very nice thread i love the debate,but why so many people here hate Russians so much ??????
Russians are good people pure as rain drop,so many scientist poets musicians and many many other unreal talent in everything !!!!! that turned this world to a better place technologically and many many other aspects in progress.

Hate governments that make people do stupid s**t,trust me no one really liked communism there except for couple maniacs,many people just had to basically they wore forced ((
I personally feel bad for Russian people,as you know during 30th till early 50th best of the best was killed or sent to prison,the most disturbing info ever !!! killing your own people that actually geniuses is just sick (( some fortunately escaped and now working in many counties pushing progress forward and not paying much attention on stupid politics that governments playing with people for one single reason control of the world((

one more thing,there is ugly one in every family (don't know if this make sense to all but i hope you know what i mean)
