the cap it's good but nobody can assure to you if it's originally stiched.
Personally i don't think so... by the way the paper under visor it's an average assurance about SS using.

      Cap

Boy - this is a tricky one. Certainly non-standard interior and insignia stitching. But everything else looks fine - I think I can even see the zig-zag weave in the last pic. Last question: ARE THERE ANY SEAMS AT THE BACK OF THE CAP???

I like the cap has a lot of character and in my opinion is original, if the thread used in the construction is the same used to stitch the insignia trough the liner my thumb is up

          Leave it alone.
You will have a problem selling it in the future. Original Dachau caps of this type all conform to a rigid manufacturing style and this cap does not.
Totaly original ones are not that rare or that expensive so therefore most collectors will wait for an unquestionable one and not want this one.
          I wouldn't want it, sorry.

" the stitching is around on the liner interior also, it's just a sewing machine defect in period..."

In other words, not totaly original. There were not any "machine defects" like this.

                Cap

Though the cap has SOME correct attributes, BenVK is correct - not a cap to invest in. IS THERE A SEAM ON THE BACK? (Out of curiosity) The Dachau M-43 is the least expensive SS M-43 cap out there, but they rarely vary, so once you've handled an original one, other originals are easy to spot. Sure, they weren't worn much, and tend to have poor posture, but if you stuff a balled-up heavy duty plastic bag inside, they display beautifully. GUYS - Don't just let it sit there, all slumped over, and hapless looking!!

thanks all for Pm and information about the cap

if the cap and trapez is original, I will take it !

                  thanks again
                  Ben.

Other than the insignia being sewn thru the liner THIS cap IMO exhibits no unusual triats that are not seen in standard so called late war Dachau panzer cap.. Billbert
might even have been worn wartime which is unusual for these..

                      cAP

I disagree - The lining (unless it's the photo) is very different than the normal Dachau lining. Bill Shea had a Dachau SS type cap that had 2 different linings in the same cap - the crown being different than the sides. May be original - but far from standard.
