However, the green section marked by bnz. 42 is what I mean.

And this one here shows that a "similar" false piping was used on KM caps as well, this is however IMO not the rule with these caps:

The cockade suggests use by wehrmacht personal, likely KM coastal arty. The cut to me still is more ss than KM but as I said the cut of caps (and issue of these) worked vice versa.
