Has anyone ever seen one like this one ...with 2 seams on the band before? IMO ..I would suggest you get a COA from don boyle before you get too excited about it. I have a very worn one also, and the enscription doesn't have that extent of wear inside , although the outside was worn in combat, and everyday use for 8 years. If don says its good...Ill believe it, but i'm just a little scheptical on this one. Decisions or opinions on rings like this are very serious, and to date the only true assessment can be by mister boyle , and well worth the money and time. The guesstimations in these rings any more ...are just that. Get a COA then post that to get your true congrats. Remember ....this TK ring area...is a minefield unequaled by any other . I hope it works out for you, and that don likes it as much as everyone else here. Thanks for showing it....there hasnt been a real controversial one like this posted for quite while.

Let's suggest that it's original, what would be a fair price?
As I am not the owner, but have the ring at home.

Suggest you get Don Boyle to look at it, then talk value
        Not trying to be rude.

Will ask the owner, but will be hard. You must imagine he gave me thr ring to post it here, and now I want him to send the ring to US? I won't take it, I just wanted to give somebody else the change to buy it instead of me. Asking price of him 2.200€ - I guess thats quiet a lot for such a heavy worn ring.

          Cheers Pzb14

So you don't own the ring, but its in your possesion ?
I wouldn't want to be the middleman in something like this, and I believe its against forum rules to sell something for someone else.

I am the owner of the ring now - so I can post it at the E-stand.

              Thx, Pzb14

No COA required once you have had a few of these original rings a Don Boyle COA is not the be all and end all !
                Original ring IMO

So if you are even going to mess wit it...its gonna cost SOMEBODY several hundred US dollars (whatever don charges now for a COA) Plus S&H both ways to be able to make an educated decision....Otherwise, you are taking a crap...shoot....that is. Its the only SMART way to approach this item, and otherwise would be a waste of much money IF you are wrong. Because if you are wrong....youll never get your money back.....it should be up to the owner to authenticate it before asking such a high price, or is that a cheap price ...the COA will decide. To send it for authentication will not mean its sold to anyone else but you. Its just to authenticate the ring BEFORE you spend the money. You cant sell one like this without a COA now days unless you have a provinanced purchase , thats verifyable...otherwise ...you may be certifyable as crazy to even mess with this ring. If its good id pay for the COA if i were you, and if its not, he pays, and then knows for sure, and thats the long and short of it IMO. GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR FRIENDS RING.You will have to label it silver colored ring for customs.and value it under 50.00 to not pay duties on it.Then i would pay to have it sent registered . that way its under lock and key all the way.

This ring is 100% fake, how come we cant see the inside inscription, cant determine the date, the recipient and ewen the Himmlers name cant be seen properly? No original honor ring woud wore out in such maner!

And now someone will pay for this fakery 2000€ or more, comon guys that can be happening!!!! Based on what some of you recognise this ring as original, i woud realy like to know!

I'm not going to loose sleep arguing on here.IMO its original and you dont need a Don COA. I have purchased a high end item from the sellar before and found him to be very reliable and a good guy to deal with.

Well Vujic, they do wear out quick, here is mine, dated 1944, and see how quick the back has worn already.
As for not having Don's COA, thats your choice, i personally feel more comfortable with it
Also it's better to have for re-sale...
                          Regards,

                              Ring

Several experienced members have posted the reply that they thought the ring was good. I qualified my response by saying "going by the pictures alone". IMO, this should go without saying. ALL SS Totenkopfrings should be evaluated in-hand. However, good photos are still helpful. These don't qualify as good photos. Why can't better ones of the complete inside be posted?
