        (t) printed Italian Camo

        Hello,

1st it's an nice tentquarter, these were made and even printed in Tjechoslovakia.

After surrender of the Italians, the Leibstandarte was ordered to take all the machinery and fabrics used by the Italians to Tjechoslovakia.

There they began to printing again the fabrics and cutted also the fabric for uniforms and tentquarters.

The extended pieces of fabric were done because the fabric already printed were not wide printed as the German machine printers and that caused than the smaller size.

Later the Germans did also get an limited issue of real cotton, so smaller woven fabrics were also printed and consructed in this way, mostly these style are seen with steel transparent laquered buttons, now mostly all rusted.

Later the underlay of the Italian camo was also used as the overprint on Splinter31, mostly seen also with the extended corners, these soft black/reddish overprint (hard seen) was a improved version against Infra Red detection.

Again a long story, but that is for those who want learn or something....

How much you want to have for this????? PM me.

        Regards Heat242

I dont know why most collectors on this forum are so afraid to give out prices of things here. I see in constantly. Its no secret to them what prices of items are and what people are paying for things. These experts know the prices better than everyone. One common chicken s#@t answer I see is whatever you want to sell it for and whatever the buyer wants to pay.......not even a ball park is given.

Normally, its guys with these items they have that they really dont know what the value is and are trying to sell or get an idea of the price. I guess these "experts" dont want to say hoping they can get something cheaper.

Seems so stupid to me but whatever...................

I have purchased 3 of these zelts - one at 150 euro which was not in as good condition as your. Normally on ebay I see ones comparable to yours sell for around 250 - 350 euros.

                    Hope that helps

I have seen these range between $150 - $300 US. I paid $200 US for mine a few years ago, it was used and a bit faded as expected. However, be aware that this camo material was produced by the Italian Military post-war.

                        Cheers,

                        Asper

                            Oohh, quit with this,

I send you an PM, and you say 150,- and than have another one, asking pic's never received!

IMO you want to push up the price, if you asking €150,-, thats normal price, did you expected a Plane tree camo print price for this?!

Let me clear this, Yes it's a nice piece and with some nice background info regarding the Italian camo, but this camo and print and German style tentquarter are 1st not an scarce item, and are still easy to get.
                            2nd my interest is gone.

Wish you a top dollar price for this.

                            Regards, Heat242.

I bought 2 examples for less then 90 euro each. They are not so rare. This one has also an angle in a different camo shade. So it could be less atractive.

                              regards

                              Erwin
