    SS Fez ?'s

Hey guys! Here is a new pick up for me. Its in wonderful shape as the sweatband is all intact. It has a beautiful maroon color to it as well. It is missing the tassel wrap

I was curious how other members store these items?

This one was a woodwork find and looks like it has been stored flat or something as it has a fold crease going right to left???

Thank you all for any comments or help given!

    Cheers,

                    Hd,
                    That's a BEAUT !!!
                    Congrats!

As far as "mine" goes, my display/storage solution is not 100% because I'm currently using previous owners custom shaped Polyurethane foam form to keep fez's shape. It works nice, but I'm afraid that, over time, the decomposition of the foam will eventually cause severe damage to fez.
Soon, I hope to replace it with a 100% cotton form.

Also, make sure not to let fez "rub", drag or wear at the bottom edge, because eventually the thread holding sweatband on will begin to be worn away at egde thus causing sweat band to be unattached at those areas.

Previous owner of mine had another great idea, which I am not employing(mine in dark storage), to place form (that is inside fez) on top of large wine glass partially filled with moth balls. Fez is thus "suspended" off the shelf.

                    Hope this helps.
Let us know what you come up with.

Very nice! cardboard can be used if you cut it to fit the interior and butt the ends together, it will make it round again..
