if you were not out to make money

why take so many pieces ,
and as soon as you return
    start hawking them about..
    for a ridiculous price...

just my 2 cents of course

Hmmm, by that logic, if he had found 6 iron crosses laying on the ground, he should have taken only one of them??? Yeah, right...

I believe what he means to say is, that taking a souvenir for your personnel enjoyment and memories of a trip is one thing (provided it is done so legally), but taking a load of garbage (literally, by his account), with the intent to sell it for a ridiculous price, and a sob story, is wrong. Hard times or not, the individual in question could afford the trip, and is now just hawking some junk purely for profit, which IMO was his real motivation.

        Just my $0.02.

          rubble

          hi
at last ..someone who puts in words
          exactly what i meant..
          his reason for ridiculous prices
was, fuel price, long drive etc..
well as he was going there anyway
why pass costs on to fellow collecters..

at not only from wewelsburg did he remove pieces
          and offer at stupid price...
this was a calculated greed inspired trip..
          SIMPLE..

            rubble

I'll be putting some pieces of the building material up for sale on the e-stand shortly. if anyone is interested, PM me and we can discuss. Im not trying to make money here, but as I only took a few pieces as a souvenir and money's tight for Christmas, Ive had to sell them. Hope someone can help me out.

            ..his words

            not tying to make money...
            yeah right..
            potential of 240 euros approx
            for rubble...
            and if thats not greed..
            what is..??

              Fraser, thanks for your input.

But please dont put words into my mouth by saying "fuel price, long drive etc..".
I never said that on this thread, and DO NOT SAY THAT.

Can you please answer my question - I have also seen bricks from Eagle's Lair or pieces from the Zepplinfield being sold by members on the e-stand. What is this fuss about, Fraser?

I have bought relic items from you and I know you sell these. I also PM-ed you but you never replied. That was not very polite.
This thread is to share my photos as much as I did for the Kassel Show.

you never said that on forum
                your correct...
but i know for sure it was your attempt
to justify your prices on your sales pitch emails..

a far as im concerned..your quote
                says it all...

                not out to make money...

                yeah right...

                i find your behaviour distasteful
                and i know others do..

                  Fraser,

I will be wise and move on - Dont want to waste my evening on this fruitless discussion.

                  Cheers,

I remember when Bill Shea was selling bricks from the Berghof and he even used one when building his collecting room. I don't have a problem taking small pieces from sites as long as they have been disgarded and no damage is being done to the structure.

Come on guys! Lets play nice! I have talked to Mil in PMs and he is not a greedy.... whatever.

He posted these to show us something that we do not often see modern pictures of.

I mean really, people sell the Berlin Wall chunks all the time. These chunks are no longer in use, but they are pieces of history! These stones are the same; decommissioned, retired, pieces of history. They need a rest home for historical items, such as a nice warm shelf with a nice minty ring, and a nice warm Juelfest fire going. Then they will be happy

Don't discriminate against history. These pieces are worth as much, and have the same if not more "stored history" than any marked EK2 out there.
