P.S. When he asked why it was cute, with you not so much..
All that said, I still have no takers on my cash offer? I wonder "why"?

I believe there are still collectors who think those solid silver (and 800 marked) SS insignia are authentic.

Tony, that would not be a good idea.....I might break one of the 3 prongs decreasing it's value.

It's just so unlike any other ground dug authentic insignia its a joke.
            Hi, BENJAMINA!

After a long time I revisited the Forum and carefully read all the posts about "my" and others' three-prong skulls. That was a mix of fun and anger.

If you still don't believe in its genuineness, I'll once again try to convince you (and some other individuals, too). Tomorrow, when the weekend starts, I'll take out my 3-pronged skull, found several years ago, from the box and photo it with my new camera. I hope it makes better macro photos than the idiot camera I used to have before.

Btw. Never sold the skull, as I've never sold a single item I found with my detector. Some time ago I was offered ~ 150 EUR for it by a Polish collector, but rejected, as I don't sell and don't buy, that's no fun for me.

And I'll surely post one photo of the skull on the background of computer screen showing exactly this post. Or maybe you need a latest release of a main local newspaper to prove the date, instead?

            M.

As I promised yesterday... Better pictures of the three-pronged skull, unearthed in 2008 together with numerous other clothes and insignia remains. The choice of the most interesting examples is shown at one of the photos - all these came out from one big hole, which took us three days to be searched thoroughly. Lot of work, but what a feeling. Touching real history

Believers will believe, unbelievers will do what they want.

Other question as we know about top fake bullion SS insignias, are there already copy's out of the 3 pronged skulls?

I smell something, as some people could make good profit for it. What goes around comes around ... soon or later but it comes around.

I'm not and expert in this field but I would say that this example is remarkably well preserved. Now compare to the other one. I'll let you decide.
I've spent a lot of years digging for artifacts . You can find one item in a certain condition and five feet away another of the same item with a totally different patina. Depends on the soil conditions, how deep the item is , what minerals or objects are next to it, if it's wet ground , what kinds of plants or trees grow there, etc. Items from ground that has been burned have different patinas. Take a look at Civil War US belt buckles, you can find them ranging from excellent condition to almost rotting apart. Green patinas, brown patinas ,etc. All depends on the ground it's in.
