Thick crown piping like that and wrong pattern chinstrap is not a kiss of death,
if it was a foreign made cap, but this one is German maker marked, so I say avoid this one!

Another observation - The crown piping is very poorly integrated into the cap. Usually it is sunken into the cap much more than this.

Concerning the chinstrap - If everything else on the cap pans out, a non-SS chinstrap wouldn't be too big of a deal. However, if a Frankenstein is being created, one might opt for a non-SS chinstrap, as it would be more accessable and far cheaper. Therefore, a non-standard chinstrap could be a red flag.

On the other hand one could attach a SS chinstrap to make it more convincing, but that is an endless discussion. Wh chinstraps were used regularly, it is more the visor itself that does the talking I suppose, this mark is found on originals it seems, did Janke use this for his copies too?
Wool also looks looks very thick to me to add another point.

It could have a chance. Wouldn't take the risk based on just these photos though.

I think Ben is right; this visor could have a chance!

It shows some distinctive hallmarks of a real Extra Klasse Marke Standard indeed:

- known sweatband perforations and half-moon stirndruckfrei;
- eagle correctly printed on the sweatshield;
- thick crown piping (I admit, the thickest I've ever seen!)

On the other hand, the disordered folds of the lining contrast with the peculiar style of this maker and the full interior shows a very bad state of preservation whereas the outside is perfect.

Given its high price (if real), better photos of the front inner-side and of the insignias are needed. The seller cannot refuse them: there aren't risks of ruining a sweatband already so spoiled
