Chris were the prongs on your eagle possibly replaced? The prongs on my eagle are aluminum.

        Peter,

If you recall, when I was looking at your other aluminum Deschler eagle on Friday, I remarked that Deschler used three different pin styles on their aluminum birds and that the one you had was not the rarest style. Well, it looks like it didn't take you long to find one later at the show. Great score. Congratulations!

I don't know how I missed that one.

I certainly don't think so, Kevin. There is only one prong, but you can see where the right prong was. Apparently, it is extremely difficult to solder aluminum anyway. Also, there are so many variations of prongs on these eagles, (look at Peter's M1/52 eagle with copper prongs).
We know that Assmann used those copper nail prongs a lot, (even on their CupAl skulls). My aluminum M1/52 eagle has aluminum prongs, so there are just so many prong variations, that it is crazy.

By the way, super nice eagle you found, Peter. Kevin, your 155 is nice too.

          Best, Chris
