        Same pattern with dipping 2, in my collection.

          Sadly, it had been glued into an album and lost much of the paper tag. I had only limited success in removing the glue and paper from the reverse.

            Officer tabs pair of Obersturmfuhrer Erich Strutz. Correct early style "not so tilted runes" With cloth tag dated 1936.
            With snap on buttons on the reverse, maker marked PRYM.

              Mr Hritz;
              I think yours is the early style, or maybe an in-between-version, and it might be the first one if in the early style I see with the paper rzm tag. Congratulations. It has the style of the "2" I think it should have. (not counting a few officer versions with really special "2"'s)

              Since this thread has attracted some posters, let us see if there are any numbered bullion tabs with paper tags other than D.

              Look forward to progress!

              My opinion about the initial pair still remains the same. So far, so bad!

              Proof or knowledge from the experts might come forward.
              What a nice evening, or night

              Cheers,
              Felix

              P.s Keep it up!

                Wonderful matched set complete with RZM pips. I was surprised to see an SS & RZM pip offered on the "collectors guild". I did not know that pips could also contain the actual ss mark. That was a first for me.

                        very interesting to note these variations in between!

                        i suppose the ones that Dan posted, the manufacturer had made the runes parellel to the left side of the tab, while the 2 would be in line with the base. therefore both runes and numbers would be in an akward position side by side.

                          I do find it odd that Bob H's tab has a paper RZM tag with Latin as opposed to Gothic script- what year was the change-over made?

                            Good question. Is there concrete proof of this supposed change over? I have often wondered. The date rumored is 1940, I think. Were both used simultaneously? Do all Latin tags pick up with a higher series letter or did they begin with A? I have not studied this too closely to know all the answers that I am sure exist.
