" anyone else find it odd how perfect the TK is? "

The Alu side of a Cupal Zimmermann skull simply does not age in the same way silverwashed zinc does .
Congrats on a great find ..!

fantastic cap and story, but imo this is not a crusher cap, some visors are made with leather peak,so far i know most in Holland

It would even be greater to see a picture from the owner and the cap together.
Maybe someone here has a picture from him wearing his uniform and cap.

What a great cap. It's is really a unique piece. One of a kind I would say. And yes I would be interested in his biography.

          Best regards.

Besslein, thanks for the comment about the Dutch production.

I don't have much photo's of him. There are some more photo's at the "Beeldbankwo2.nl", I will post them here.

            Regards Jim

Here you see the public at a speech of Snijder and Seys Inquart. But it would be better to see a picture of them.

                      Very interesting!
Was Snijder also an officer in the Waffen-SS?

Seyss-Inquart is actually sitting in that audience himself ..! ( Front row showing his fancy shoes ) .

He definitely did not always wear his uniforms .

Uniforms which by the way , have been found in 2001 hidden in an attic in the Hague ( his Diplomatic AND grey SS tunic - honorary OBERGRUPPENFÜHRER ! ) .

                              http://www.collectie.legermuseum.nl/...%20inquart.pdf

They have been kept in the dark by relatives of a WW2 Dutch staff officer - who recieved the tunics from British Captain Clitheroe of the S.O.E.
His last will called for either donation to the Dutch Army Museum Delft - or if they had no interest , burn them . His first choice , he added .
All awards had already been removed shortly after his capture returning from Flensburg .

The uniforms were shown once only , at a special members-meeting which I attended in Delft , just after they were donated . Since I came unprepared for their " surprise find " , I didn't bring a camera - I'm pretty sure it wouldn't have been allowed anyway .

A sight for sore eyes ! 1940 nametag present ( Stechbart tailors - Berlin ) , highest quality insignia , tailormade to have one shorter arm - because of his limp !

Then they were hidden again , now in the museum , untill the staff would decide if the general public would be up for such a confrontation . Incredible .

But original items are still out there to be found .. !
