The example on the tunic is embroidered on to wool. The example above is woven much like a bevo tab.

The woolen one must have been embroidered , makes sense - thanks .. !

Like ETN said, these are embroidered. Here is another example, I think these are late war.

The one on the uniform and the one in the last photo is a different pattern in my opinion. It is correct, but not the same style as posted in the first photo..when you look at the backs you can see the white embroidery goes to the edge on the style in the first photo, but not on the style on the tunic and in the last photo...edit, okay never mind I see that was noted, J
