35+ years ago a famous dealer and well known collector of exotica had Himmler's hand carved chair from Wewelsburg on display at a MD show. Most intense and impressive item I've seen along with a complete Allgemeine-SS cavalry standard.

Saw his exotica collection, including Keitel's car pennants and a dozen Luft honor goblets lined up on a mantle. A bit staggering.

I understand 1 of Eicke's formal docs (forget if KC or EL) was in a US collection. Owner had his stuff in a basement that was flooded. Item was sold heavily damaged. A lesson on basement displays.

As an arms fan, it'd hafta be this:

        A Scharfschutzen Sauer 38H
I'd do about anything for that piece of machinery! May not be primarily SS, but with that type of connection and with snipers? Who wouldn't drool over that?

One would need to do a photo comparison of the chair to make sure it is the same one in the period photo.

            Photo comparison - why?

This chair was manufactured by the SS-owned firm DAW (Deutsche Ausrüstungswerke) in Kl Buchenwald and is original as it can be.

If you really want to make a useful photo comparison just compare the actual pics of the current seller with the pic of the chair taken in 1942 in Kl Buchenwald by the prisoners who worked as photographers in the photographer detachment.

If that is still not convincing for suspicious minds then there is still the possibility of age determination.

Any uniform of Max's, but his Panzer wrap would be the holy grail for me.

How much could he possibly be asking for this that noone has boughten it? I surely if had the money would be my first acquisition!
Strange, but again not many trust this dealer, although certainly the chair is one in the same.It would be a ridiculous, fruitless undertaking to duplicate it,especially since the others are known in collections. What would one use?an old picture?
Certainly its real, but why not sold?been on this sight FOREVER.Im guessing h'ed ask half a million?anyone know for sure?

I remember seeing this at the Atlanta show in 1996.

Isnt this the dealer with the SS rings in any size, shape, and style?

Why are a couple of the high end Himmler items withdrawn from his site?
                        Anybody know?

                            Let´s put it like this:

This dealer forces you to know the history and the pieces.

People who think that they can replace lack of knowledge with money will get burned badly and learn the hard way.
