Please help- need to id ss armband-no stripe

Hi everyone-

I have an armband that I got at a show a while ago. It is pretty large, about 9.5 in across. It is stamped with an SS eagle on the front and the swastika is screened on. It has the paper tag on the back with the correct D code. SS runes are on the other side of the tag. Please tell me if it is real. It also has some small print and the number three on the inside under the fold. The back shows wear from age, with some dark spots. It passes the black light test like it should. I know it does not mean much, but it has the correct smell. Thank you very very much.I would like to put pictures, but I do not know how. Please help

How would you describe that correct smell?

We'll need photo's but when you say the 'SS eagle' I assume you mean like a 2nd pattern cap eagle ? In which case it sounds like a motoring organisation armband which is either a fake OR been messed about with.

We will need pics of course to be any more certain.

I would discribe smell as old and musty, like an authentic banner I have.
