That's a pic from the SOS isn't it?? Or is that the MAX hall in Indianapolis??

Good eye Robert but myself, I think that is a cement floor and taken at the SOS in Louisville. Note the roll up door at the left rear next to the three alcoves for the snack bars and rest rooms.

Looks like Malcome Fisher walking and Brian Maderer in the red shirt.

      John,
I think you are right about it being the SOS, but I think that is Ulric not Malcolm.

        Looking

Now that's a tight contest...Who is better looking...Ulric or Malcolm?

My thoughts remain that it is Malcolm walking with his characteristic ‘bulky vest’ and his usual arm bag.<O
          <O
Standing behind the table could be Ulric or another tall similar chap whose name escapes me at the moment.<O

Damn, but aren’t we bored and have wayyy too much time on our hands

Dr. Stragelove, I won't touch that.

I see now. I was talking about the person in the foreground on the right and you are talking about those in the background on the left.
And yes, I agree, this thread has gone from high intrigue to the mundane.

              Summaryof Events

              OK -

I have read this thread through twice, and I think I have been able to piece together an accurate sequence of events as they have been reported by the participants - which was harder than it had to be with all the initials, innuendo, and bifurcation, although I understand why it had to be that way. Here's what I have:

              1. Gary sold Peter the 4 piece strip at the SOS.

              2. Peter turns around and sells the strip shortly thereafter at the SOS to an unnamed/unknown buyer for a small profit.

              3. Peter buys the "SS lab coat" at Kassel, with the attached Lazarett tag already hand-sewn to the coat.

              4. Peter sells the coat to Ron Distelhorst.

              5. Ron Distelhorst consigns the coat to Oak Leaf

              6. The **** hits the fan when Gary shows the original strip with supposedly tag #3 as the one in the coat (I never saw the pics of the coat on Oak Leaf, hence I say supposedly at this point - if anyone saved pics (Vid???), please post them).

If any of this is inaccurate, please feel to correct it. I got tired of having to motor back and forth over 16 pages to figure out the chain of events...

It's row "D" from, presumably, the last SOS . . . about the middle of the row.

One could look back at the Show program and figure it out . . .

                    Thanks, Napalm -

I can clearly see the aforementioned dots on the strip now that I know what I am looking for.

That is my understanding of the events presented.

Its the staining thats the dead giveaway. Note how the stain skirts the 'C's...

Don, I have some corrections and time line additions for your above scenario.

                            1. Gary showed the strip of tags on WAF in Feb 2008.
                            2. Peter stated in this thread that he bought the strip of tags from Gary at the Max Show (early Oct.2008) and sold them within minutes.
                            3. Peter purchased the spurious SS Lab Coat at the Kassel Show, presumably the WB (?) in the May of 2009. It could not have been at the fall Kassel Show as it was in the same month as the Max.
                            4. The Lab coat was resold after that time and reappeared on Oakleaf Militaria in June 2009.

John, I think the photo shows the front of the SOS hall with Ulrich the tall chap in blue jeans in the group on the right with his back to us. Fisher is standing next to him with the grey sportcoat and Tredwyn is the third man. The blonde accompanies Malcom I believe. Their tables are directly across from our if you remember in row D. The row letters can be seen in the far background. In the far back corner is the dark wall covering behind Burmeister's tables and Steve W. to the left.
