I have to see that Soylent Green movie...the only reference to it I recall was a Saturday Night Live skit some years back, maybe in the 1990's or early part of this decade where they based the skit on Heston's acting or over-acting--sort of like William Shatner in Star Trek-- where he says "Soylent Green is made of people, its people"...then as part of the sketch they do "Soylent Green Two" and the Heston character once again realizing the ingredient of the food product says, " they didnt' change the recipe like they told us soylent green is still people, it's people!"...anyway as for the comparison and the problem of SS fakes, when I first got into collecting 25 years ago, I was told to be leary of SS items that they were often reproduced and one dealer told me, "SS stuff, everybody wants it yet everybody is afraid of it," ...same as today so I do not things or thugs or crooks have gotten any worse, but maybe the fakes have gotten better but so have the resources to share info.
Best,
John

After reading this thread It appears several people were too timid to come right out and say it.
Im not...Im of the opinion that Peter either had this thing put togther or put it together himself..that is my opinion and I base it on his evasive behavior and the fact that he happened to have his hands on both pieces at one time in their history.
I think we should just let him silently dwindle in cyber silence where he has chosen to stay since this thread reared its head.
Threads like these cause a stir but they educate the more serious collectors.

I respect anybody here and any personal choice, but I think once posted picture must stay were they are otherwise they gonna cause just confusion in who is reading the thread months later.
As you said, there are things here that must be known and not forgot.
And more, I think people should start threads not posting just links to images but real images, at least for very interesting and detailed threads as this.

You're right. I didn't look back through this thread, but I bet there are pics somewhere in here.
Did you read over this whole thread?
