Actually it was very reasonable considering its rarity.... I know it knocked me on my heels when i saw it..would love to own it..just didnt have the cash that year.. Billbert

Here, from one of the Himmler albums, is a clearer shot of the earth grey ski cap. It shows the shorter peak common to these caps. The black cap had the national eagle on the side whereas the earth grey caps, as in this picture, had the small metal eagle to the front.

Perhaps this ties in with the photos in this thread. I wonder if the fellow with the number one across his chest is Ernst Haberle?
