Yeah he has some amazing posters... Ive picked up some ideas from his website to incorporate into my new Study, when it gets built!
He must have raided the Ufa studios as he has one hell of an extensive collection!

They are all great posters.
He has several hundred in his collection but he has been collecting for a long time.

Yes it is post-war by Frans Van Immerseel... It has been posted a few times in the thread.
I purchased one a few years back as the artwork is fantastic!
I believe they were being sold to help fund the up-keep of veterans graves and /or to help SS vets who didnt get the pension, at least that is what I was told a few years back.

Hi,
i'm stupid, this is obvious that the church at the back is the "Notre-Dame" church of Saint-Lô, which was partly destroyed on July 18, 1944 just before the "Cobra" operation (breakthrough of US forces in Normandy).

Unfortunately the various bombings of the city erased it, and the full city was rebuilt from zero.
Before :
Now i was unable to find a complete map of the city before the bombing, but the address of the LVF recruitment centre was "12, rue (Porte) Torteron" in Saint-Lô.
Torteron Road was the main commercial road of the city, and only the South side was rebuilt after the war. The north side (even numbers) was not rebuilt.

And bingo, the "rue Torteron" is located at the exact place in which the picture with the partial painting is taken !
Therefore i'm pretty sure that the house is the LVF recruitment centre, with a special painting / poster on the wall (it can't be linked to the known LVF posters).
Here is an old picture from the XIXe century : the picture is taken from the small road that is leading on the right to the Torteron gate.
The recruitment house may be in my opinion in a new house in the right, in the place of the "Cidres" (ciders) building or in the empty place after it. The next three houses don't look the same as the destroyed house of 1944.
On the far left, you can see a "Gendarmerie Nationale" (french police) building.

I agree that's pretty impressive Vincent.
You would have delivered the Coup de Grace if you had come up with a photo of the poster / sign itself. But that might be a tough call.
