There was a myriad of possible other uses for a shield , e.g. the accompanying Nederlandsche Ambulance ( Red Cross unit ) , the Org. Todt , Transport Speer , etc. , and not all have been sufficiently documented by period pics.

      The use on KRIEGSMARINE uniforms has e.g. never been proven by period pics. , and is solely based on this propaganda poster , which seems to have been just an artists conception for just that purpose - propaganda ..

                              Sorry but you are mistaken...it has been proven...(credit goes to Coco from Holland!)

                                Nick , THANKS for showing me that link ! So there's also a Bevo type with the word NEDERLAND . I'm obviously not done searching for Dutch-related items on this site yet . It's getting better and better .. !
