Oh yes,in fact the beret was the first thing I thought of when I viewed these SS insignia's.

That's what I was after.
So who's the dirt bag???

Knowing what he now knows is he willing to throw the nasty abomination into the fire place?
or...?

dear Gary i can't be sure of him name. i'm quite 99% sure but i received some international transfer in the period. i prefer write to you the name by pm... until monday
i work in a bank so for me will be a joke if the buyer wrote (i always request it) the item he bought.
in my bank when you received a international transfer you received a paper letter... and only a "ref number in the online account" but i don't archieve the letter cause... i work in and i can have what i want immediatly
monday i'll back at work and i can be sure of all.

I would also state that I do not believe that this dealer is intentionally passing fakes and I am glad that we can be sure he is not the person responsible for stitching these original items on the fake hat and then cutting it up. The insignia still retain value, these are not easy to find and I am sure they could be removed from the fake hat parts and still be of use to someone.

If someone would remove these from the chunks of fake M-43, they'd be back to being a nice collectable set.
Come to think of it, an original set of SS insignia being REMOVED from a fake hat, is quite a switch these days.

Of course not the same but close and way overdone (on both) IMO.
