                    Thank You Mike and Ian.
I'm a dagger guy so I really don't know a thing about cloth.
However I am saddened to see what I think I see here. Please tell me if this is what I see:
Collector seller sells original insignia on estand. American dealer buys and attaches to fake pieces of m-43 hat to sell as veteran combat cut-off's?

                    Is that so?
Now the original insignias are destroyed by that obvious overstiching?

                    Tell me that ain't so.

                    Regards,
                    -wagner-

"Is all of that stuff (on the linked website) real ?" the answer is "No" see the SS 475/42 eagle for example.

Now if the question is "Is the skull and eagle real ?" then the answer is "Yes"

                      Ian.

my photos are of insigna some days before i sold theme.
They were removed... so you find it in a not perfect shape.

The faker use theme (they were cheap!) for ****ing "fake" items.

Yes, I ment the items on the web site. Especially the the large selection of cut-offs?
Now that I see this I would not trust anything from that dealer. NOTHING!

                          Not the Dachau vet stuff...NOTHING!!

The love of money corrupts absolutely.

                            how to make money

1 apply good insigna on a crap m43

2 if collectors don't want the crap... destroy crap and sell pieces of cloth

                            ...for this... there's mastercard.

The reason why it's overstitched is because the insignia had already been cut and there was no backing material anymore to fold over and under. That's why this kind of stitching should always be viewed with suspicion.

Did the dealer purchase the insignia before they were sewn to the wool scraps?
I see a mix of good and bad offered on the site, it's not all bad.'
