          Thank you oberjaeger for showing us the lot. My only comment to add is the vet's son sold his only photo his family has of his father in the war - that's sad to me.

            Jeff, Iam with you on that. Unfortunaly thats often the case in Germany. Many relatives dont care a s****t about what family members did in ww2. Though I dont know in this case.

                That is a very nice set. Especially being a family heirloom. I would think that the items would make a great display in a frame with UV protective glass.
                Items that I have gotten from my different family members are some of my prized possessions.
