I only know that he was injured in Tscherkassy, he lost his arm. he was one of the last wounded who were flewn out . The set is cut off his uniform was stored in a cigar box...the foto is the one and only that have survived the war and shows him at the beginning in austria 1942 Klagenfurt/ Lehndorf Ersatz und Ausbildungs Btl Westland 4. Kompanie

                I have a photo of the 4/Ersatz Coy .....

                A huge Motherf.........

Several danes were in this company too

Beautiful grouping, you should try to build up as much info about the soldier as possible. It great fun and makes the items ever more interesting. Which unit was he belonging to at the time of Tjerkassy?

                        Hi
A very nice lot from one of the best pz divisions. A lot of scandinavian`s like norwegian, danes and finns where attached in Wiking, most of them in one of the divisons regiments, Nordland. (Later division Nordland).

                          Cufftitle

I don't have Wiking in RZM, and that is a nice one that has that "been there got shot and lost my Arm look". Nice Grouping.
