I think it has a good chance and even better its an officer bullion type, but lacking the silver cord material, so for an NCO...
These were of course never issued but definitely made. I got outbid on a real enlisted type last year... on E-bay amazingly, a US vet bring back, along with some other more common SS insignia.
It has my thumbs up based on the buckram, the material and the assembly= nice, tight and exact pattern as the enlisted ones.Last edited by NickG; 12-05-2008, 02:37 AM.

The bullion tab in question was owned by me for a long time but I had to move it a few years back to fund other items. It is original and would be for an NCO as there was no piping. as for the flaking or missing bullion it is normal with age. Just take a look at some of the well worn officer bullion tabs and you will see the same loss of bullion. I do wish I had the tab back. maybe some day...
