No, we spoke before he passed away and he had his suspicions. Like I said he wasn't a TR collector, so he had no way to independently verify this stuff.

if anything the buckle is a cool fantasy piece ive never seen an image like that with the runes in eagles claws.neat old fantasy item.

There is an original SS officer belt buckle in that pattern, made of aluminum.

The Austrian camouflage ski cap Is probably ok. Post war but ok.

Yes, sadly these are "old" reproductions. These were made well before the internet made research a lot easier.

My buddy probably took them in at face value, but I think he always had his suspicions.

I greatly appreciate the opinion and feedback on these items.

The hats are a complete loss I would expect. But any idea of what a good ballpark price would be for the helmet, field caps and helmet cover ?
