Hi Carsten, I see the first one has come from the "Berlin hoard" which was dug from the ground by building site workers. I have one of these too.

        Cheers, Ade.

          1st pattern jawless skull thread

I have dug up a skull, wich has been found on area where captured Cossacks from 15th SS Korps on the end of WW2. Did skull have any ties with SS or belongs to German Reichswehr Army Cavalery. ! Skull is 100% original. Made from ALuminium, size: 35 x 30 mm. Model is very similar to German Panzer skull, but is much bigger. Thanks for any answer.

Where did you find it exactly (area I mean)?

Hmm, tricky but I would say They look very new but the design details are all correct as far as I can see.

                        Hi

They look OK from the front. Does the prongs on the back have sawtooth edges?

What's the deal about sawtooth edges? Thanks, John

                            Hi John

I have a fair collection of these and they all have sawtooth edges on the prongs. I am not 100% sure, but I have not seen this feature on any fakes - yet.

It is just another mental tick in the box, though there are plenty of original skulls out there which do not have the sawtooth edged prongs.

If I find time later, I will get the camera out and I will post an image

Hope this explains it a little better.

                            Best wishes

                            Raymond

I've one with sawtooth edges, but that is an metal one. These one's don't have the sawtooth edges. But they should be 100 % original, that's the story

                                Totenkopf - Original ?

                                Hi

I purchased these "Totenkopf's" and the medal recently as originals.
They are on the way in the mail.

                                What do you think?

                                Cheers
                                Johannes
