I'm by no means an SS camo expert but I wouldn't buy that piece if they dressed Halle Berry up in it and offered her as part of the deal!

While members are/have been patience with you as obviously you are a new NOVICE collectors and know very little if anything about the subject you are talking about or camouflage in general...
so what kind of expert are you?
as you seem to have trouble identifying the very basic patterns...
You are?
From which unit is the photo and which pattern is it?
its time for you to go and buy a few quality reference books on the subject and read them.
questions...
Not only one of them...
I must admit you have been mildly amusing and somewhat boring at the sametime (to me anyway) as a study on how dense and foolish some people are...
Some nerds with thouthands posts in Forums, "experts" that not
able to give some logical answers to some simple questions...
"experts" not able to differentiate a faked Tarnjacke from Clausi
from an authentic one.
laughable...
I tell you something..., not only one respectable long-time collect-
or or dealer from germany that i know, is even registered here in
this forum, were everybody can publish his ****...
One of the most respected collectors and dealers in germany is de-
claring this prototype-jacket as authentic on his website.
He had this jacket for almost 20 years..., do you know how many
well known collectors had seen it and had no doubt about it as an
authentic SS-Prototype??
They also knew that most "web-collectors" are too stupid to see
what it is...
Do you know how many respectable collectors laughing about the
hundreds fakes here in this forum...??
Many old collectors told me that so much faked cloth is declared
as good, that the most want-to-be-experts unable to ever recog-
nize an authentic prototype, when it's submitted them...
I posted this jacket here to make proof, that no one is able to say
what this jacket is..., that's all i had ever expected.
No answers here..., only insulting and dumb blabla.Last edited by charlemagneXX; 06-09-2008, 02:39 PM.

You have showed one photo, and you want to hear that yes, your jacket is original, no doubts
You asked collectors for details, but you don't want to show details this jacket, you want only to hear "original"..... I think (as a amateur) nobody here want to buy this tunic as original "leiber", no way...
They also knew that most "web-collectors" are too stupid to see
what it is...
Very sad words...
I think it's time to closed this thread.

Anfang 1945 must have read Anfang 1954....and "SS-Leibertarnmuster ahnlig" they forgot to put that part... Now I get it!
Well congrats on your (or your friends) coat! Its still over 1/2 a century old! but in case you still want betetr proof of its age, you can always set one of those (modern) plastic buttons on fire... or maybe that's what you did and the fumes are confusing you!
