      No, it's not even similar.
Lets keep focus on the jacket that started this thread, which is a fake.

Because you want it this way...?

        Try some better arguments.

Three long-time collectors of SS-camouflage-items, inspected this jacket...,
all are convinced that this jacket ist authentic 100%.

          Peter,
it won't make much sense to talk to him as he lacks the most basic knowledge on the matter. It's obvious that he doesn't know the differences between the patterns and items.

I just took a shot of my "Waffen SS im Westen" book,
what he has labeled as "Charlemagne" is a shot from the campaign in the west which shows SS-VT troops.

          Cheers

Yeah..., thanx for the better quality..., but it is not "camouflage smock".

              Explain the Skanderberg-photo.

              Explain the POW-photo.

You said let's talk on the jacket itself..., make proof it's a fake...

And you don't even know why the czech pattern is called Leibermuster btw.

I refuse to talk to you, you are ignorant.

                Happy collecting.

the price alone of 2200 euros for a "mint" jacket in the Leibermuster pattern should be the first give away clue that something isn't right... so why we see 7000+ euros prices for "more common" patterns smocks????..... 2200 euros wouldn't be enough to buy a Leibermuster jacket even if it was shredded and eaten by rats....

                    1. He get this jacket long time ago for little money.

                    2. He is not collecting camouflages of SS.

                    3. Most people did not know what kind of jacket this is.

                    4. He was tired after 20 years explaining a unique piece like this.

                    5. 2200 EUR is in Germany a mid price for a Erbsentarn or smock-jacket.

                      Mr. CharlemagneXX.
As stated by Fritz and others, Im sorry to say that the jacket is a fake. The "Leibermuster" pattern is wrong, the colours are wrong, the construction is wrong. If you are not interrested in listening to opinions from members of the forum, at least, read and study reference books like Beavers.

                      Best regards, Tom

It seems that you know only one Leibermuster...

Wy "wrong", what is the "right" one, which the CSSR-pattern is modified from?

                          You don't know it, right??

How can you tell "fake"?? You not even know the original of this Leibermuster.

                            Dear charlemagneXX
Please read Camouflage Uniforms of the Waffen-SS by Michael D. Beaver. An entire chapter is included there on the Leibermuster. The book display photographs of original Leibermuster samples from a US Army report (Richardson report). The pattern on your jacket is wrong! Not a little wrong. Completely wrong!

As a German you should know the terrible state your contry was in late 1944 and through 1945. It was not possible for several reasons to manufacture a uniform as you show and manufacturing had to be drasticly simplified. Less stitching, cheap buttons, low quality cloth etc.

                            Peter

check this thread and you'll see pictures of a real worn Leibermuster jacket, compare the pattern and construction.

hope it would be of any help.

                              regards

                                There was no ONE Leibermuster.

                                Again:

Do you know were the name "Leibermuster" of the CSSR-pattern came from?

                                No??

It was slightly modified from an SS-prototype-series.

If you don't know anything about this original (obviously)..., how can you say
                                anything about a fake???

If you don't know anything about this Leibermuster..., don't talk about it!!
