                    Ian, no I dont think it was him. There were a few Hauptsturmfuhrer's in the Brigade that were killed before Goehler reached that rank. Also there were promotions so its near impossible to say without a complete list of the officers and thier awards to look at. Waldemar Fegelein was also in the 1st reiter regiment I believe he was married to Eva Brauns sister.

                      John, I think it was Hermann Fegelein who was married to Braun's sister.
                      He was the Kommander of the 1st reiterstandarte.

                          I think yes, and when I am not wrong the purchaser of the photo told me he knew where this tunic is as it was once in his collection. The stains on the front are still on this tunic.
