ss officer's cap side opinion

From what I can see in the photos it appears that the insignia is original; however, having said that, the cap itself --- the material and specifically the officer piping --- do not look right to me. I would pass on it if offered to me.

Original hat/insignia,IMO....Think I traded it to a dealer some years back towards a uniform.


Don't let the enlisted quality cotton lining bother you,have seen it used in original Heer General officers overseas.
