I am coming in late to this discussion, but, if I may add my two cents, I agree with Werner p.,in that the vet blanket pictured is not strictly a period piece..the SF patch shown has an incorrect tab( should be black and yellow ). To the right of it is possibly a Korean vintage, though I cannot make out the detail. Beneath the Air Corps patch, upper right quadrant, is a Viet Nam corps patch, if memory serves me. Down to the bottom, center, is a 78th division patch, with a subdued version to it's right...those were post war, though the 81st and 92nd divisions, and others, had "subdued" patches back to WWI. Lastly, up in the top center, to the right of the 40th division, is what appears to be an aviation unit patch, post war(?), with an alligator in it. Here in Florida, there a number of USAF, and FLARNG units which use alligators in their emblems. In the 20th SF, we did so, and the Tampa Army Recruiting BN does so. I can not make out the detail, but that is my guess on that patch. There are lots of "vet" purchases out there, and we all get one, but yours is full of great patches, regardless!

Anyway no Flemish Lion.
I also see a Special Forces tab ( blue shield, yellow sword with three lightnings across) .... IMO that is a Vietnam era arm badge and no WWII ... so NOT ALL are WWII !! So the Lion could well be of that time frame as well.

Some I don't recognize and others for sure not ww2...
Makes the Flemish one stand a chance very slim! Could be prewar still. like Flemisg boy scouts, but most likely post war boy scouts troop insignia!
I believe after it got returned to seller and relisted on e-bay and some gullable person did end up buying it...Attached FilesLast edited by NickG; 12-22-2010, 05:58 PM.

not really lol, just wanted to let people know there is some Flemish SS stuff here, although many advanced collectors will be dissapointed with what I got, I am Flemish and got all my little stuff from Luc, like 10 years ago.
- SS pin
- propaganda cards x2
- Last knight of Flanders book
- Beknopte geschiedenis van de 3. Kompanie signed by Bert Degruyter (also his deathcard)
- Vlaamse Fabriekswacht pin (I think)
- Letter and photos from Schrijnen
- Application form for the Flemish SS Legion (blank)
- Many Berkenkruis issues
Thats about it I think from the top of my head, as I am mainly and only now a KM collector due to the high prices all over the place.
KM-NZ
Wish I had more, but hey, even at the far side of the world, there is some Flemish SS stuff

I have some strang post-card which I belive is connected with the Flemmish SS. It shows some cozy cellar which looks ideal for drinking beer in, a table is decorated with some candle holder which looks to some sort of "Germanic-cultural item" thing, and the wall is decorated with a small built-in shelf. Over the "built-in" shelf it is written "Min Ehe Heisset True" or something like that, it is not the standard german spelling, and then below is a original human skull and some SS runes and such. Anyone know what Im talking about here and is able to confirm the connection to the flemmish SS, or is my description so vague that I need to scan it?
