Hello again. I have decided to be a man about this and put up a pair of Gruppenfuhrer tabs I bought years ago up for scrutiny. I have tried to do research on them but am unable to come up with a definitive judgement. They have been very used (so it appears) and pieces of bullion flake off each time I take them out of the case, which I try not to do very often. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance, RH

Granted that a need for an understanding of german tailoring is needed but the fact is that I am german, albeit not a tailor, and view everything with suspicion, hence the posting. Yet my understanding is that as the war progressed, the materials were increasingly crappy and that no amount of dexterous skill could remedy that fact. Besides which, I am clueless and need to learn one piece at a time.
