Dear Spongebob,
I'm Lorenz and I collecting SS camo, I have in collection more of 30 SS smocks and like camo SS cloths in drillich about 35 pieces, dots and oakleaf A and B tunics, trousers, like smocks I have already the Blurred edge in HBT and NOW the Oakleaf A pattern in HBT, YES I buyed one of the Weitze smocks of Helmut Weitze and I can tell after good hands examination that it is ORIGINAL and VERY VERY RARE IMO.
I can tell this for my personal knowledge after handled hundreds of camo SS stuffs in more of 25 years of collection.
About this smock ,Original the camo drillich, original the elastic at the end of the sleeves, original the thread and expecially the front embroidered holes for the string.
They are embroidered in the expecial machine way used normally in the M43 SS tunics (like the M43 SS tunic that I posted for sell now in the e-stand of the WA forum, to explain) and in later cloths, also FJ Jump smocks etc.
They dont show mothholes becouse the moths dont like the hbt and the duck camo cloth, each collector with little experience know that.
I think that this discovered is really a GREAT discovered, one model of smock not common and also in 2007!!.
I looked for one of this model of smock for many years to add to my collection and now I'm very happy, also the prices are honest and I cannt tell nothing bad about Weitze firma.
Often I founded from Weitze some nice pieces to add to my SS Camo collection and I have to tell that they was always kind and honest with me, this for my personal experience.
Naturally this is only my opinion, to give a contribution to this thread.

This is rediculous
Too find so much rare SS camo smocks was only possible til
the 50's and the early 60's and I don't know he would like
to have "found" it in bavaria, cause he's an dealer out of
Hamburg and bavaria is far away from Hamburg
all absolutly incredible for me!!!
And Ok if one would be in a good condition but all eight in a
good unworn condition,no way who believes that make self deception.
I know how garret found pieces look's like not so, here no mothholes,
not dirt no signs of age --->fake
Rare Militaria is so popular cause it's rare.
</FORM>I watched that site for an long time, again and again Weitze
looking for some new explanation to offer some fakes,I would
say in his German WW2 Uniform category offer are 80% fakes,I asked
frequent if I saw some items what could be real,I became too
often the answer : "found in czechoslovaky"or"at a farm in czech"
even there is the biggest faker industry in the czechoslovaky
and please every member who's interested in weitze's stuff
look out for the photos, you will see in 2 years suddely the same
pics twice even though the item is sold, for me out of my personal
sight very dubious!!!
I also saw an German WW1 Uniform was bought from Weitze at the
website Hermannhistorica and Oh,what a wonder an Uniform what
look's like as when someone tried to reproduce that hermanHistorica's
Uniform was offered a few week later
I came to the conviction that Weitze takes some original
stuff and try to reproduce it so good he can but that is not original!!!
Also Weitze was 2005 in court cause he offered stolen militaria
from an Ritterkreuzträger who became the victim of an robbery in
his own house.
At last I must say this man lives from rare Militaria and cause the militaria
out of WW1 and WW2 is so rare that dealer would do everything to
get money,if he wouldn't sell anythink he would be unemployed,
but it's an crimejob to palm fakes off on some poor collectors,Poo!!!
This is my honest opinion maybe some other's LOve weitze but
for me he's an faker and I says that only out of my experience!
And everyone here could believe me I would rather live in world
without WW2 fakes where everything is an original and to
get this fakefree world everyone must trust in his own
experiences and don't buy from fakers cause
they will let it only be if they couldn't sell anything!!!
If that proceeds in this wise maybe in 30 years will exist nothing but fakes!!!

I have studied the smock`s at Weitze. They are all 100% original, cloth, treads etc. Unmessed and rare pices. Many are in bad shape unfortunately.
PS. Spongebob. You have said a lot of nothing. Provide us with documentation of your point of view please. If not read and learn before you say a lot of unmature things. Just a kind advice son.

Dear Friends
I post now some pictures to show the ONLY two models of SS HBT Smoks producted later in the war.
Are two mint exemples, the Oakleaf A was part of the group founded in Germany, recentely, the other is a old purchased from Austria.
The smocks are both mint and the colors are great on HBT, unfortunately this type of cloth lose very fast the colors in wear..
But mint IMO are superb!Attached Files

Hi Ludwig,
if it'isnt HBT, wich cloth is?
Only difference between the two smocks is that in the BE the spring colors are printed on the reverse side and the Autumn in the right side (with the V), in the Oakleaf A in the right side are printed the spring colors, the smocks are printed at the contrary..
Very usual on SS HBT camo cloth.
