nice original,
maybe the comment "unusual" is due the fact those cuffbands originate mostly as US vet bring backs , and it s fairly uncommon for Europeans to find stuff like this, we are not used here in Europe with Dachau cloth items, so for us it s very rare. But i guess not with the internet anymore
Cheers

Green and never seen one
Thanks for the replies.Yes we don't see these in England, and obviously Europe don't see much of them either.I take it that Dachau cloth is more common in the US,due to you guys liberating it.I have a red fez (SS) from Dachau, that was in the collection of Lt.Col.Bill Currier, the first Medic Surgeon through the door as such at Dachau, and when I found the Muslim ct I had to have it,the only green SS ct in the TR I believe
I think you guys in the US are the lucky ones,we in Europe struggle to obtain good cloth items,a lot of dealers over here are taking peoples eyes out with fake goods, stating they will stand behind them 100%,only to post them, and find that you have been done and then have to run back to get refunded.I am learning though thanks to some very knowlegable people willing to help.
That is why I post,to learn, and for those who reply I thank you.We have to Learn somehow.

Ivan,
Green is the symbolic color of Islam. The Prophet wore a green turban, Green is believed to have been his favorite color. Green was also the color of the banners used on the battlefield and the color of the first Islamic flag.
Islam also considers green significant because it is the color of nature. Therefore, green is popularly used in the flags of Muslim nations, as well as in art and architecture. Mosques are frequently decorated with green tiles.

Yes,I work in an area of Newcastle that is ethnically diverse, and if the community knew about the ct they would take great pleasure in burning it I'm sure.I wonder if the present generation of Muslim youth are aware that the SS had a Division of Muslims or has it been conveniently forgotton about.
I see a lot of green on my beat,
Ivan.
