            Muslim volunteers

Actually, in addition to the volunteers from the Caucuses, there were the SS Divisions of the Bosnians (such as the 13th SS) and the Albanians ("Skanderbeg") of which many were likewise Muslim...then there were the Indian Muslim volunteers who also fought for the TR/Indian independence, and while Himmler thought he would pull them out of the Indian Legion to serve with other Muslims (of European ethnic heritage such as the Bosnians and Albanians), the Indian Muslims identified more with their Indian nationality and less with their religious faith and so remained with their Indian comrades of Hindu, Sikh and Christian faith.
