What's this? italian camo

Looks like they reused (recycled) the bakelite plastic brown buttons that came with the Italian shelterhalf (zeltbahn) to create this M44 cut tunic... My vote is also most likely a recent conversion...based on that... Nick

I have to agree - I'm not getting 'warm and fuzzies' over this one.
I really like field converted and produced items. There is a huge amount of personality in them, but what a mine-field.
I realize the photos are not that great, but is there any evidence of use (shiny cuffs, worn button-holes, wear on the collar, sweat ingrained on the arm-pits)?
I also am not a fan of the loop on the collar, as that particular one would surely chaffe the neck, even through a shirt. Although these were fashionable, they were also considered a work item. There should be evidence of this, unless it was 'liberated' early in it's career.
I managed to pick up one that, though sold as a fake, has turned out to be original. They are out there, but the fakes outnumber the originals by 1000 to 1, if not more.
Any chance of better pictures?
