Kurskss- I' ve never seen an original "SS" type cufftitle with that horizontally elongated checker board pattern to the weave- what do others think?

Im sorry to say that your cuff title is a reproduction! Look at the black base cloth and the weave pattern. Its the typical pattern of a repro. Compare with the black weave or other original RZM cuffs shown here and you will se the differences.

Yes I understand. This is not what you want to hear when you post an item. My opinion is clear about the cuff. Bad repro! Just show me one original cuff title with that weave pattern!

A lot of "vet obtained lots" have some repros among them. Vets have been on shows and swapped with others which makes it far from safe to asssume they are all originals. You really have to do the usual controls. Lots of fake insignias have been around since 30 years back atleast.

How many times have we seen this statement? It must be real because of the provenance!

Here's one of my dearest cufftitles - Germanske SS Norge/Germanic SS Norway.

The two books are "supporting membership" books for the Germanske SS Norge, as rare as hen's teeths according to my friend Björn. The little metal badge is the badge for Støttende Medlem (SM) or supporting member of the Germanske SS Norge. The metal cap-badge for the Schiffchen is the first type used in the Norges SS (Norwegian SS). I have never seen another type of cap-eagles in any norwegian collection besides my own, the cap-eagle has full provenience The cloth armeagle is the basic one used in the Germanske SS Norge.
