Boy we are getting short with one another. I agree with frog. The cracks on that visor are not consistent with age cracks IMO. The three or four cracks in the front are stress cracks from bending the visor and the bottom edge of the visor is void laminate and paint all the way around. That is not consistent with a nice unissued visor that has aged but with wear. The interesting thing is the nap on the wool shows age also but the interior is dead mint. I would say that is enough of a red flag to keep me away.

I have seen, for example, an unquestionably original Imperial field visor cap, straight from a doughboy's estate sale, with a cardboard visor in about the same condition, though the rest of the cap shows almost no wear.
