    SS/SA combo eagle

I recently saw a wire bullion eagle on black cloth. Under the left wing was SS, and under the right wing was SA. I was told it was an insignia representing co-operation between the two in the early days. Sorry, I did not get a pic. Quality looked good. Are these legit? Thanks.

Any idea what it would be worth? Do you know where to look for a picture of one? Thanks.

In a period photograph of this badge being worn by a member of the SS both the circular badges on either side contained SS runes. I would be very interested if any other members have period evidence regarding this badge.

            Hello guys!

When I read this thread I came to think of a picture I once saw in "Osprey Men-at-arm series, volume: The SA 1921-45: Hitler`s stormtroopers".

Hope it will be of any help

            Best regards
            Marius

That is the first picture that I have seen with it worn over the left pocket. Not that there are many pictures to start with, but the one(s) that I have viewed in the past showed it over the right pocket.

The next evolution of this award was, once again, a combination of the SS & SA insignia, for a joint commemorative badge for the DLV(?).
