                !!!!!!!!!!

The cufftitle doesn't come close to the Bevo examples which it tries to mimic. Besides that, there never was a Deutschland CT in the BeVo-woven form!

It is indeed a rather amature copy. These are known copy's from the 60's and 70's. I would not think these would still fool any collector.

Also consider that by the time they started making Bevo cuffbands it was well beyond December 1939 when they dropped the Gothic in favor of the Latin lettering... this is a fake, not even a reproduction because that would indicate it was a copy of something that once existed and that is not true in this case.

this type of production cuff title is the "vet" Book mark type, i do not think it was ever intended to fool collectors, that came later in hands of others

                        cheers

Hello everyone, I informed the owner and he responded with some curiosity after referring to Angolia's book. This is not my area but I told him I would ask, so here goes,
"However, regarding the cuff-title, in "Cloth Insignia
of the SS" by Angolia on page 406 shows a picture of
an original Gothic BeVo... Per the book it states
that 1942 was the time period for the Latin switch...
Please see the enclosed pictures! What resourses do
                          your friends use?

                          Thank you for your time!"

                            Deutschland Cuff title

                            Hello All,
I don't think that there was a Deutschland Cuff Titile made in the BEVO style other than the Flatwire variety. If there was, I'd sure like to see a real example. DJB
