      Urgent advice required

Guys, the dealer that sold me the suspect ss items, including this tunic, is willing to take the items to the US, spesifically the Show of shows, to get an professional opinion and written certification of authenticity on these items. Who would you recommend is the best people/ expert to provide this.

      Many thanx.

If Bob Hritz (the other Bob) goes to the SOS I would seek him out. However, IMHO, it would be best to return the tunic for a refund and hold onto your money for a TOTALLY GOOD PIECE. If you want this tunic so badly to be real, then it will be - in your own mind - you are your own worst enemy when it comes to stuff like this. If it is not right, walk away from it. If you keep it in your collection, then you will always have to defend it and it will never be right. Collecting is finding and aquiring the right stuff. If something isn't right, then move on and save your money for something that is. It's your choice. I know that there are many of the biggest SS collectors out there who aren't on these forums because people ask for their opinions on something and then are told that they don't know what they're talking about because it's not what the person seeking the opinion wanted to hear. I think you've had a pretty good evaluation of your tunic on this forum. There are enough red flags here, even with the quality of photos provided, to pass it up. So do what you want to do.

        Bob

The dealer should refund the money... it shouldn't be conditional and you shouldn't have to prove the tunic isn't right. If he wants confirmation, send him here to the forum.
