the two belt ramp holes as well as the liner indicate SS over Heer. Looks like the runic tab as well as the eagle where replaced or added later, altough good. The rank tab looks like it maybe original to the tunic! Nice one! With the blood it really talks to you. very cool tunic
Not the liner material. the amount. SS tunics the liner goes all the way to the bottom on the front, and Heer tunics stop short. Here is a Army tunic, as you can see compaired to the SS tunic pictured earlier in this thread.
If you're asking what this means, well Betr. Ra. is the stencil for KL Ravensbruck, a woman's camp where the SS-Bekleidungswerke (SS-BW) was set up to manufacture Waffen-SS uniforms.
Hi TWP - Lining material wasn't not branch specific and several different rayon blends were used in the production both Army/SS M-43. The only branch specific material concerning the production of M-43 tunics, would be the captured Italian wool that was used exclusively by the W-SS. This wool is characterized by a rough texture and grey/green color...Hope this helps...Best, JD
Hi John and Norman, thanks for the info. I have some good teachers here and I appreciate that. I should have not confused the owner. I apologize for that.
