Norwegian SS Polizei Collar Tab lion.

    Hello.
New addition, one very rare Norwegian SS Polizei Collar Tab lion.
I checked and compared it at http://foreignvolunteerlegion.com/NorwegianLegion2.htm
and http://www.nuav.net/volunter.html and so i think, has all features to be a good one.
When i received it i will take better pictures and upload here.
Every comment and opinion is welcome.
    Thanks.
    Jannis.

Original but also used by the Norwegian Army before the war.
Very common to find here in Norway - for some few dollars.

    Regards

Go for this type of lion instead.

I believed that a crowned lion, only the SS police units on both sides and the Den Norske Legion (DNL) carried an uncrowned one
              lion on the right.
If I'm wrong, gladly, I will learn.

Top example from the Littlejohn book is fantasy/inaccurate. There is also never found a documented period example of an embroidered lion collar patch.

                  First, thanks for the info.
I found two variants on photo
My question, please, were both crowned and made of metal?
                  do both exist before ww2?
