No hard feelings mate, we're all here to learn and help one another, thanks.
      Best regards

It looks ridiculous - obviously someone wants / needs $7995 for maybe $1500 - $2500 worth of stuff - as for the $5995 boots worth at best $1100-1200 - it’s a black hole out there - sucking in ur cash

I just noticed the sleeve lining material is the same as the liner. That would raise questions in my mind. It’s entirely possible but how often is it encountered in known original tunics ?
The insignias are worth a lot more than $1500 of the boards are real and the eagle.

The original SS uniform should have roughly three sources. The first is the uniforms of the dead during the war. Under normal circumstances, these uniforms were buried in the dead body, and then slowly rotted underground. The surviving spoils are rare. ; The second category is prisoners after the war. These SS soldiers will tear off their collars, epaulettes and eagles when captured. The uniforms worn by the prisoners of war leave no insignia, and they can enter the prison camp and participate in forced labor until they die or are released. Decades have passed, most uniforms were abandoned long ago, and few survived. The third category is the SS uniforms brought home by Allied soldiers as trophies. This category often has more stories than facts and is a gimmick for many sellers to make money.

And a fourth category is the walking out and dress uniforms that were left at home and not destroyed immediately following the end of the war. Clearly these did exist in Germany at the end of the war but would have mostly been located and sold / bought since. Similar to the vet bring backs, which were of course a US feature as it was banned to bring back souvenirs by English soldiers...…...

Can’t really say from photos but I will guess a Heer shell relined maybe a new collar . Very possibly all high end fake insignias, those wide litzen always show up on faked pieces. But the hands on test is the only way to be certain.

The sleeve eagle is original though.

Agree that the tunic itself looks like a recent reproduction. Anyone have comments on the collar tabs?
