    TV tab ???

    Hi,

    Does anyone know if this kind of tabs were worn by the SS-TV? Is this bogus or a good one??

                Actually, it is SS-Totenkopfverbande. It was worn by the administrative staff of the commandant of the camp.

                However, I do not think this piece is original. The piping is incorrect; it should be 2 rows aluminum and 2 rows of black. The bullion looks different from what one would expect in the 1936 era, the golden years of the III Reich, and the wool is inconsistant from the wool-felt badge cloth used.

                            I am glad colleague Hritz is here in force, aber bitte Schreibfehler beachten!: es heisst SS Totenkopfverband oder SS Totenkopfverbaende, mit dem Umlaut! See Mollo vol. 4 or Sydnor, Soldiers of Destruction, Princeton UP 1977 or Klietmann, Die Waffen SS, 1966.
