    Sorry Sgt. bilco, I am traveling and don't have my books available. How large are the series?

      Only one batch (of 1,000) is described in the Grey Book as being Fl Sch marked but, as we know, Zeiss may have sub divided the batch to include other markings (ie KM binos) so it's impossible to say how many were made for the Luftwaffe.

        Ok, it isFlugschule.
        In ”Fernglasmuseum” there is a CZJ 10x50 marked Fl. Sch. Gatow.
        The engraving of the name of the school shows that I was wrong.

          If you're happy I'm happy. It seems Gatow was more than just a flying school;

          The airfield was originally constructed in 1934 and 1935 by the Luftwaffe as a staff and technical college, Luftkriegsschule 2 Berlin-Gatow, in imitation of the Royal Air Force College at RAF Cranwell.

          Maybe that explains the reticle - they learnt more than flying. I wonder if any 6x30's were ever Luftwaffe marked - they're often seen in pictures of Heinkel crews looking for landmarks during daylight runs.

            Good points there Sgt. Bilko.
            I also think there must be more behind it as just pilot education.
            The Swedish Air Force used Nedinsco 6x30 rubber gas mask Binos with huge eye lenses. A good choice.
