Hi Nate, I believe that early in the Africa campaign the Luftwaffe utilised Army uniforms, as they were developed (late 1940, Hamburg University?) / issued first. There is is photographic evidence too, I recall seeing it but can't remember where! I'm sure experts like Mark can add further detailed info.
