      That is one very cool eagle Steve! Have never seen anything quite like it and think your theory is a sound one. What is the color of the backing? Hard to tell here, but it looks blue-green.

            Hello all,

            has anybody seen this type of printed eagle before? I have had it for about 10 years now and I am sure its a fantasy piece. Any info will be gratefully received

                    Here is an unusual eagle I posted before. It still has threads from it's application, probably to a flying blouse. Anyone out there have any eagles of this style? Because of it's odd head and beak, I would have passed on it when I began collecting.

                      Here is another eagle of the same design which was also removed from a uniform. Note how thin and mis-shapen the swas. is. Although this eagle is not as handsome as the previous example, it is important not to judge eagles with odd details as bad for these details alone. Machine embroidered insignia often had these kinds of variations.

                      No one else has an eagle of this style?
